Reynolds Services, Inc. and Colonial Slitting Industries, LLC Announce Strategic Alliance to Expand Slit Coil Services and Product Offerings at Weirton, WV Location
Leading US tin mill service center, Reynolds Services, Inc., and world-class supplier of steel slitting products and services, Colonial Slitting Industries, LLC today announced the formation of a strategic alliance to expand the offerings of slit coil services and products offered through the newly-formed Colonial Slitting Industries, LLC. facility located in Weirton, WV.
As part of the agreement Colonial Slitting Industries, LLC has acquired select coil slitting machinery assets of Reynolds Services including all production assets of RSI’s Weirton-based Coil Slitting International subsidiary. Reynolds Services, Inc. will utilize Colonial Slitting Industries, LLC as its preferred toll slitting partner in the Ohio and Shenango Valleys and maintain direct tin mill product sales responsibility for the facility, while Colonial Slitting Industries, LLC will focus on its core competency of providing and marketing high-quality, world-class toll slitting services.
This alliance will provide Colonial much needed processing capacity in the Weirton, WV market, while also providing redundant capacity for their current customer base.
Colonial Slitting Industries, LLC will license core technologies from Reynolds Services, Inc. including RSI’s internally-developed, enterprise resource planning system, SteelOrder.info. The deal is expected to close prior to April 1, 2019.
