its multiple wins at the 2025 International Metal Decorating and Packaging Association (IMDPA) Annual Conference, held September 23–25 in Chicago, Illinois. The prestigious awards ceremony, recognizing the best in metal decorating and packaging worldwide, took place on September 24.
The highlight of the evening was RSI’s Brian Bates, Director of Advanced Manufacturing, receiving the Metal Decorator of the Year Award. As one of only nine recipients globally, this honor underscores Bates’ exceptional contributions to the industry and his leadership in advancing metal decorating technologies.
Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in the metal packaging industry, Bates has led numerous transformative initiatives at RSI—from pioneering digital printing solutions like the MetJET ONE to integrating automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing systems across production.

- The Meridian Design Studio received the Digital Printing Award of Excellence for its visually striking 2025 Year of the Snake Calendar. Combining intricate design elements with cutting-edge digital printing technology, the calendar showcases the studio’s creativity and technical expertise in delivering high-impact metal graphics.
- RSI was awarded Digital Printing Best of Category for its breathtaking Yosemite Waterfall Metal Poster, produced on the state-of-the-art MetJET ONE digital printing line. This recognition highlights RSI’s leadership in advancing digital printing capabilities in the metal decorating industry. This marks the third consecutive year that RSI has been recognized at the IMDPA Annual Conference, reinforcing both Reynolds Services, Inc. and The Meridian Design Studio as industry leaders in innovative design, digital printing, and production excellence.
